College of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (CESBM) is the Premier International Open University with great emphasis on employability. Employability refers to your ability to gain initial employment, maintain employment, and obtain new employment if required. In simple terms, employability is about being capable of getting and keeping fulfilling work. It is a set of achievements – skills, understandings and personal attributes – that makes graduates more likely to gain employment and be successful in their chosen occupations, which benefits themselves, the workforce, the community and the economy. Employability, therefore, is not just about getting a job, it is about a broader set of skills and attributes that will enable a graduate to be successful throughout their working life.

The programme aims to produce graduates who will have a sound knowledge of entrepreneurship skills, business management, industry specialisation and the leadership qualities needed. Students will have to choose an industry of their choice for their specialisation and complete a project on their industry specialisation.

They will also be guided into transforming their business idea into a product or service for commercialisation. This is the one great difference between our students and their counterparts from other colleges and universities, who will have an academic qualification and nothing else
